The Q-test Little Mod I've seen!

Hello Vape Nation! I am back with a review on something that one could describe as small but mighty and mighty small. We are reviewing the Q-Box Kit from SmokTech. I adore Smok Products, as you probably already know, so I was very excited to get this and do a review on it. Smok seems to have a knack for knowing what a consumer wants before other people do, and always manage to impress with innovative products. I was really intrigued by the Q-Box Kit because it seemed like a different direction for SMOK, but sometimes the best things come out of getting out of your comfort zone. Small stealth vapes have been all over the place lately. Taking over every facet of social media. Is there any truth to the saying "sometimes the big things come in small packages"? Lets find out by digging into the Q-Box Kit from Smok Tech.

Unboxing and Specs:

When you open up your Q-Box Kit you will find the mod itself. It is super tiny and seriously adorable measuring in at a little under 2.2 inches tall, 1.3 inches wide, and just a little under an inch deep (0.98 inches) to be exact. Also included is a TFV8 Baby Tank pre installed with 1 V8-Baby M2 0.25 ohm dual coil and 1 extra V8-Baby M2 0.25 ohm dual coil included. Inside your box there will also be 1 micro USB charging cable, the usual spare parts like O rings, and a user manual. The Q-Box has a 1600mAh battery capacity, which I think is highly impressive for this device considering its size. After all that is the same battery capacity the Smok V8 Stick runs on so this baby has some power. It has a Power Range of 1.0-50 watts and a temperature range of 200-600 degrees Fahrenheit/100-315 degrees Celsius. The Q-Box has a resistance range of 0.1-3 ohms in Variable Wattage Mode and 0.06-3 ohms in Temperature Control Mode and a Voltage Range of 0.1V-9V. It has an OLED screen that shows you everything happening with your mod like your wattage or temperature, ohms, amps, battery life, puffs, and volts.

Functions and Use:

You do want to read through this section because the user manual included is basically the Cliff's Notes version. If you want detail you need to hit up the Smok website to get the actual user manual you are used to getting with their products. To use your Q-Box you are going to want to attach an atomizer and then click the power button 5 times in quick succession. Once you see the SMOK logo appear on the screen you know you successfully got through the first step. Now lets explore the menu options that will be available to you so you can set your Q-Box up the way you want it. To access the Operations Menu you are going to click the power button 3 times fast. There are a few options from there. You have MODE, PUFF, SETTING, and POWER. There will be subcategories in these. To go through the menu options you can either use the up and down buttons or just keep soft pressing the power button and once you have chosen which menu you want to go into hold the power button down. In the MODE menu you can use the up and down arrows to choose between wattage mode or temperature mode and then press the power button down to lock in your choice. Depending on what you have chosen there will be another prompt. If you choose wattage it will ask you to pick your vape preference from normal/hard/soft and once you have picked hold down the power key to set it. If you have picked temperature mode then you will pick your preferred strength, and after that choice you will be given coil options to choose from which are Ni200, Ti, and Steel along with more extensive settings for those. Next up in the Operations Menu is the PUFF section. This is where you can choose to reset your puff counter and also choose the maximum amount of puffs you can take until it stops you, which ranges from 1-Never. The next menu is SETTING and there are several things in this section. There is the Stealth category which allows you the option of putting the device into stealth mode or taking it out of stealth mode and setting the amount of time you want until your screen timeouts. There is also a Contrast category that is preset at 100%, but you can use the up and down keys to change this. The lower the percentage the less screen brightness you will have. There also a menu to adjust your ohms, and a menu labeled Download for downloading firmware upgrades. The last choice in your operations menu is POWER. In this menu you will be asked if you want to turn the mod off. Use your up and down keys or power key to pick yes or no and then hold down the power key to lock in your choice. You can also lock and unlock your screen by fast clicking the power button 5 times. When your screen is in lock mode you can turn off the mod by fast clicking the power button 5 times.

Final Thoughts and Opinions:

I was and remain impressed by the Smok Q-Box. It is another impressive stride by Smok, and I have thoroughly enjoyed using it. It is like the Little Mod That Could. This device is fully loaded with all of the same features as larger mods, but the size makes it very convenient. I would categorize this mod as a device for beginners, a stealth on the go device, or something people may want to have if they prefer a lower wattage and simpler device. The Q-Box is a convenient on the go device whether you are a beginner or just looking for something small enough to slip in your pocket or clutch (to any boys reading this a clutch is a tiny purse). It is literally just slightly bigger in size as the tank included with the mod. You could wrap your fist around this mod, and it would be almost impossible to see, and at 50 watts this little guy still packs a punch. Some of the features that are my favorite are the screen. I love that its large enough to give you all the usual information that you would get on a mod that is much larger, but doesn't undermine the sleekness of the mod. I also love that it is compact enough to take with me anywhere, and that the tank does provide decent clouds. I even managed to pull off some small Os with it. I like the fact that it has an internal battery just because batteries are expensive so that helps me out haha. Obviously my favorite feature is just how darn adorable it is. It pulls on your heart strings like a teacup Chihuahua the minute you get it out of the box. There are some cons. Nothing to big at all. Just a few things that aren't preferential to me. I really don't like that the micro USB charging port is underneath the mod on the bottom. I like to be able to have my mods standing upright when they charge, but that's not a big deal that's just me being a little OCD. The only other con I found about this mod is the tank. I love all things Smok and own every tank they have made all the way up the ladder to the TFV12 Cloud Beast King, but out of all of the tanks the TFV8 Baby Tank is my least favorite for flavor. It not bad for some cloudage considering its seriously tiny size, but if you want flavor and a smaller tank the Big Baby is where you should go. This is just my personal opinion. I don't find the the Baby Tank great on flavor personally, but that really isn't a con either since you can use whatever tank you want on it anyway. Other than that, I will continue to adore this mod both for its impossible to ignore cute factor and convenience.
